
Shahrad Fredotti was born in 1984 in Tehran. At seventeen, he left Iran on his own and later earned a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Bradford University in England (2006). While studying, he began acting and modeling part-time. In 2007, he moved to Toronto, Canada, completing an MS in Biomedical Physics at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2011.
Following graduation, Shahrad shifted his focus to film and music, training in opera and theater. He wrote and produced his debut album, Melody, before leaving Canada but soon discovered his greater passion lay in acting for theater and film.
In 2016, he moved to Los Angeles to study Acting and Directing at UCLA. Two years later, he wrote, produced, and directed his first film, Hollow Me, which won 11 awards at various festivals. His latest project, Mahsa – Woman Life Freedom, has so far been featured in 34 festivals, earning 14 awards. Shahrad has played leading and supporting roles in numerous short and feature films, as well as in six theater productions. He remains active in commercial work, having appeared in over 40 national campaigns.
